Introducing Phoenix Online Shipment Tracking (POST)

Port Elizabeth, NJ

February 1, 2005

Phoenix International Business Logistics, Inc. introduces Phoenix Online Shipment Tracking (POST):  the trade show industry’s first web-based shipment tracking and tracing program designed specifically for international exhibitors as well as U.S. trade show and event organizers.

“Phoenix fields literally hundreds of calls and emails a day frominternational exhibitors requesting status on their shipments to trade shows for which Phoenix has been appointed the U.S. Customs Broker/Freight Forwarder,” says Phoenix President Phil Hobson.  “For the first time in the trade show industry, international exhibitors will be able to track the progress of their shipments for themselves via the Internet.  The culmination of this process – and the ultimate demonstration of Phoenix’s commitment to customer service – is that confirmation of shipment consignment to the client’s booth is personally witnessed and reported by an onsite Phoenix employee.”

According to Hobson, Tracking/Tracing Programs for U.S Exhibitors attending international trade shows are presently being developed by Phoenix and are expected to go online soon.

International exhibitors can bypass the long distance call or email to Phoenix and access the information directly via Phoenix’s website at www.phoenixlogistics.com

The Phoenix POST system is extremely user friendly: Exhibitors can obtain timely customs clearance updates and delivery status of their shipment by simply inputting their Phoenix-supplied reference number or airway bill number supplied by the origin airlines or Phoenix’s overseas partner,

“The system is so simple, no training is required,” says Hobson.

To maximize the reach of the POST system, onsite trade show managers with Internet service have access to shipment details for every exhibitor shipment handled by Phoenix.  As such, they can use POST to help exhibitors on the spot with questions.

Leading U.S. trade show organizer George Little Management, which uses Phoenix International Business Logistics as the official Customs Broker for many of their shows, is enthusiastic in its response to POST.

“A program like POST is long overdue in our industry,” says Tony Lee, Show Manager of Sources, a show that attracts hundreds of international exhibitors to New York.   “It provides critical information necessary to maximize success for both show organizers and their exhibitors.  We know of no other tracking system in the industry as comprehensive, detailed and accessible as POST.  It truly is a first.”

PF Publishing in Cleveland, Ohio which uses Phoenix as the official customs broker for their well-known Art Miami and Art Expo New York shows was the first show organizer to reap the benefits of Phoenix’s POST program.

Shipments for the just-completed Art Miami 2005 (Jan 6-10) tracked by the Phoenix POST system arrived in  Miami to the complete satisfaction of the organizers.

“We’ve tested the tracking capabilities of the program and it worked beautifully,” says Rick Rosalina, Operations Manager for Art Miami.

“A program like this adds value to the exhibitor’s overall positiveexperience,” adds Ilana Vardy, Director of Art Miami.

Phoenix is a fully licensed international freight forwarder and U.S. Customhouse Broker specializing in shipping and onsite logistics for trade shows, corporate meetings, and other special events.  Phoenix coordinates show site operations, arranges for all international freight transportation services, processes U.S. Customs clearances, and prepares export documentation.

As one of the few trade show freight forwarders with a customs license, Phoenix organizes onsite logistics in addition to processing the customs clearances and export

documentation.  This dual qualification, supported by global resources that include offices, partnerships and agency agreements throughout the world, enables Phoenix to

provide customs clearances services and timely delivery of freight in a way that maximizes efficiencies of time and cost.
